2.4 Women and under-represented groups
In this module we address issues facing women and under-represented minorities. These issues are historical in nature and relate to faculty expectations of students, family responsibilities, and career possibilities. We suggest that mentoring is crucial to the success of women and under-represented minorities and discuss the challenges mentors face when working with women and under-represented minorities.
